AllVideos Reloaded Documentation PDF Print E-mail

The documentation is available in multiple languages. Please pick your preferred language from the left menu. There are no specific instructions for the installation of AllVideos Reloaded, because it can be installed using Joomla's standard installation procedure for extensions which is already documented in the regular Joomla documentation.

Important: The documentation on this site is continuously updated as development is ongoing in SVN. Therefore it might refer to - or describe - features, that are not yet available in the current released version! For accurate documentation matching the installed plugin, use the Documentation Link at the plugin's configuration page in your site's administration backend.

How to translate the extension?

  • First, add a new tracker item in the "feature requests" category at the project's tracker on joomlacode.org. This step makes shure that if several people have the same idea, they can see that already somebody wants the same. In the new tracker item, please state the language you are going to provide. I get automatically notified of new items and will contact you, so make shure, that your account at joomlacode.org has a valid mail address associated with it, otherwise, I will not be able to coordinate things with you. Of course, if there is already a tracker item for the same language by someone else, contact that person for coordination instead of opening a new item.
  • The actual work starts with fetching the latest english language files from SVN. As of the upcoming version 1.2.7, there are 6 of them:
    1. For the main component: en-GB.com_avreloaded.menu.ini
    2. and en-GB.com_avreloaded.menu.ini
    3. For the content plugin: en-GB.plg_content_avreloaded.ini.in
    4. For the system plugin: en-GB.plg_system_avreloaded.ini.in
    5. For the editor-xtd plugin: en-GB.plg_editors-xtd_avreloaded.ini.in
    6. For the module: en-GB.mod_avreloaded.ini.in
  • In these files, translate all Text to the right of the equal-signs.
  • When finished, attach the files to the tracker item and I will be notified again. Alternativlely, send them to me via email. When i have added the file to SVN, I will close that item and the translation will be automatically included in the next following release.
  • Whenever I am about to release a new version which contains changes/additions to the english message texts, I will notify you 1 week in advance, specifying the new release date and you will have the opportunity to add/change your translation accordingly within the next 6 days. Please note: In order to prevent unnecessary delay of releases, translations that arrive after that period, will be postponed until the next following release.

How to translate the documentation?

  • Just like above, first add a new tracker item in the "feature requests" category at the project's tracker on joomlacode.org.
  • Then, fetch the current documentation in your favorite language below. The text is basically a multi-page Joomla! article source, so if you like, you can simply paste it into a new article on your local Joomla! site and edit it there.
  • When finished, save the text to a file (copy & paste it from the backend, if you made it in Joomla) and attach that to the tracker item. I will then publish it on this site and the build-environment of my plugin will extract it automatically from there and include it into the package.
  • Whenever I am about to release a new version which results in changes/additions of the documentation, I will send it to you. To identify added/changed parts in the new document, I will put the following HTML comments around english text fragments: <-- TRANSLATE --> and <-- /TRANSLATE -->. You translate those fragments and send it back to me. The timing works just like described above (Notification 1 week in advance, 6 days to make the changes).
